CINNO: Chip shortage eases, flexible AMOLED panel prices cut by $1 in May

Yesterday, CINNO Research released a report saying that the price of LCD smartphone panels in May was still in a downward trend, and the decline was more than expected. Among them, a-Si panels fell by US$0.2, and LTPS panels continued to drop by US$0.1. It is expected that LCD panel prices in June will increase. will continue down.

The report pointed out that the price of flexible AMOLED smart machine panels was cut by US$1 in May, mainly because the shortage of driver chips has eased, which will no longer be the main bottleneck for delivery, and domestic flexible AMOLED panel manufacturers have lowered prices to be higher than Samsung Display ( SDC) panels have more advantageous prices and actively strive for new project orders.

According to CINNO Research, the overall price of rigid AMOLED panels remained high and sideways in May, but due to the downward pressure on flexible AMOLED smartphone panel prices and sluggish panel demand, the prices of rigid AMOLED smartphone panels are expected to decrease accordingly in July.

In addition, the report expects flexible AMOLED panel prices to continue to fall by $1 in June and July 2022, while LCD panel prices will still fall by $0.1.
